Warren McKenna III has spent nearly 30 years navigating the legal system from many different sides. His career spans complex civil litigation, private practice and public service, representing individuals, businesses and government. He has worked in real estate and title, served in leadership with Southeast Louisiana Legal Services, and served as Judge Pro Tempore managing a docket of complex cases.


That breadth of experience has given Warren a practical understanding of the people, businesses, property and disputes that come before Civil District Court, and the responsibility that comes with sitting in the judge’s chair.

Understanding the Work of Civil District Court

Civil court handles issues many people will encounter somewhere in their lives: an injury, a business dispute, a contract, a succession or a question about ownership of property. Behind every case are people who need the court to understand the facts, apply the law and make a decision. Warren has the experiential knowledge to make these decisions ethically and efficiently.


EXPERIENCE FROM DIFFERENT SIDES

Warren has represented individuals, businesses and government, worked in private practice and public service, and served as Judge Pro Tempore. That experience has required him to understand competing interests and different sides of a dispute.

RESPECT FOR PEOPLE’S TIME

Time in court has consequences outside of court. Warren understands when a case needs more time and when the parties have been heard and it is time to make a decision.
